you are the weaver
I want to share this art from my kid, Grace Schumann.

you are the weaver and I am the thread
that you twist betwixt your fingers
twirl and pull and knot me up
until I’m just like you
you thought that you were what controlled me
never mind the way I feel
pulling all my threads apart
and telling me it’s good
but not so fast, oh foolish artist
for I’m alive with my own fire
my pattern is not your design
and I am not your vision
I’d be just fine on my own
so I think you know the choice you have
learn to respect me for what I am
or I’ll unravel away from you
